About Laura-May
Laura-May Culver, MSW, RSW is a registered Social Worker with over 15 years of varied social service and clinical experience, including working with adults with co-dependency, addiction and mental health needs, adolescents, children and families. She has served as an Educational Assistant, Drug Counsellor, Mental Health Worker and Addictions Therapist.
Currently, Laura-May is an advocate, Consultant and Counsellor with the Upper Grand District School Board in Ontario, Canada serving elementary and secondary administrators, teachers, students, their families and their communities.
Laura-May Culver’s counselling, coaching and consulting ‘toolbox’ is filled with tools from a truth-based bio-psycho-social-spiritual model of care.
She is a proud member of the Alliance for a New Humanity, is trained in and practices daily Primordial Sound Meditation and is a practicing student of Mindfulness.
Laura-May is an energetic, motivated, strong and powerful change agent who applies her education, personal challenges, research and professional clinical experiences to her own Personal Transformation journey.
Using an eclectic, inclusive, multi-faith, non-denominational spiritual approach, counselling, coaching and consulting offered combines spiritual resources and information including mindfulness meditation (present moment awareness) with traditional clinical therapy techniques.
Laura-May Culver, MSW, RSW, is a Clinical Member of Ontario Association of Counselling and Attendance Services (OACAS), the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and Registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
