This idea that the New Year is the end of one time period and the beginning of another one, is a self-imposed, human-created cycle called the Gregorian Calendar. But to nature it is just another day. To the sun it is just another day.
I think the lesson here is that every day is the perfect day to celebrate life. What a remarkable time it is to be on planet earth. Yes, there are events happening on the earth that are, to put it mildly, not nice. But the good thing with all that is happening, is that light is being shone where there was only darkness.
There can be no light without the dark. Each of us has these two qualities. It is up to each of us to nurture the light, and to shine our light as brightly as possible. When we shine our light it gives others permission to shine their lights and to be their brightest. In this way the light is shining all over the world!
My wish for all of you this year is a year filled with light, love and a deep inner peace and happiness.
This past year I lost my job in February, and am only now starting work again (in IT project management). I have worked as an IT Project Manager for almost 30 years! I will admit that I loved every moment of not working as it allowed me to really go within and figure out what I am all about, stripped of the role of Project Manager. I am going back to that role as a consultant, because lets face it, it pays well, and I do enjoy it. But it will now be on my terms.
I am also building a business around Essential Oils - I have found that I am passionate about the oils, not just the aromas but the chemistry and healing that they can bring about. I have spent the past decade or so studying shamanism of the Peruvian Andes, and the oils really augment that healing modality. In the new year I will be creating a website and starting a blog. I'll ask Laura May to update this blog with the details of both when they are available. In the meantime, I can be reached at email@example.com
